Lowestoft's big family pantomime Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs opened to record breaking advance ticket sales at the town's Marina Theatre this week.

Starring Nolans singer and Blood Brothers actress Denise Nolan as the Wicked Queen, Jon Moses from ITV’s Superstar as the Prince and Britain’s Got Talent impressionist Philip Green as Herman, the production is the only full-scale professional pantomime production on the east coast complete with a full supporting company including dancers and a live band.

Snow White’s loveable friend Muddles keeps the kids entertained along with mischievous dwarfs, lots of audience participation and music from a live band. Marina marketing manager Karen Thompson said: “Following an intensive period of rehearsals, the show opened to rapturous applause on Tuesday and advanced ticket sales are at a record high.

“If you are tempted to join us we recommend booking early so that you don’t miss out.”

Performances run tomorrow at 2pm and 7pm, Sunday at 1pm and 5pm, Monday at 2pm and 7pm and on Tuesday and Wednesday at 1pm and 5pm.

Performances continue throughout the Christmas and New Year holiday ending on January 3.

Today at the Marina there will also be two screenings of Mr Turner starring Timothy Spall as the British painter JMW Turner. There will be a matinee showing at 2.30pm and an evening screening at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £5 or £4 if booked at least 24 hours in advance.

To book seats call the Marina Box Office on 01502 533200 or book online at www.marinatheatre.co.uk.
