NEW music promotion company Manic Vision will hold its launch gig at the Fisher Theatre in Bungay.

There will be five live bands playing at the event, Fortune Rookie, The Dirty Tricks, The Fuzz, Uncle Stash and Kapok.

The night takes place next Saturday, November 28, at 7.30pm.

Manic Vision is the brainchild of Carl Hitchborn, who has started Manic Vision in order to support bands from our region.

“We are going to do this our way,” said Mr Hitchborn. “We have some fantastic talent in this region and I am determined that our web based business, with its ethical stance, will allow the best bands in Norfolk and Suffolk, and eventually the UK, to follow their dreams and make a living from music.

“Conversations with musicians, as I researched the local scene, revealed some bad experiences. Manic Vision is going to be different. By working together, gathering and developing fan bases in one online hub, then supplying a regular flow of new downloads, combined with exclusive Manic Vision clothing, we will create an indie social networking phenomenon.

“Bands will receive 70pc of their music sales profit and Manic Vision will split all other business activities on a 50/50 basis, allowing musicians to follow their dream and make a living from their passion.”

Chris Moore, Fisher Theatre manager, said: “Five bands in one night is a challenge but we are really pleased Manic Vision chose the Fisher as their launch venue.

“Over the years I have seen many local but highly talented bands that needed the sort of support offered by Manic Vision but promoters are rarely interested in new bands - they won't take the risk. This can only be good for our local music scene.”

Tickets are £7 or £6 for concessions from the box office on 01986 897130.
