Photo shoot for Bad Girls cast ahead of show

Bad Girls the Musical is hitting the stage at Beccles Public Hall, thanks to the efforts of Spotlight Theatre Company.
Based on the popular television series set in the fictional HMP Larkhall, the story follows new idealistic wing governor Helen Stewart and her battles with the entrenched old guard of officer Jim Fenner and his sidekick Sylvia Hollamby.
And the cast recently visited the disused HM Prison Blundeston for a Bad Girls photoshoot.
It was attended by Kirsty Limacher, a partner with Lucas & Wyllys Solicitors, which are sponsoring their third Spotlight show.
Kirsty said: “I had a fun time at the photoshoot representing the firm as show sponsor, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the show.”
The production also follows the love story that develops between Helen and charismatic inmate Nikki Wade. Other featured characters include Shell Dockley and her runner Denny Blood, old-timer Noreen Biggs, the two Julies and the ultimate top dog, King-of-Gangland’s missus, Yvonne Atkins. A tragic death on the wing - in which Mr Fenner is implicated - leads to an angry protest from the women and forces Helen and Nikki to their opposite sides of the bars. But when it’s clear that Helen stands to lose her job over Fenner’s misdeeds, the race is on for the women to nail him once and for all.
Bad Girls the Musical is being staged from June 28 to July 2, with tickets available at www.ticketsource.co.uk/becclespublichall/ or by calling the box office on 01502 770060.
Performances start at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 7pm.
