The Fisher Theatre welcomes a wide variety of shows this week.

Tonight sees Caddy Cooper performing at 8pm. Caddy is an exhilarating acoustic country, blues, folk singer who entices her audience with tales of life, love, loss and the fragility of the human condition.

Tickets are £12 and £10.

Saturday evening sees Robert Castelli’s Boom Quartet featuring Francesco Lo Castro at 7.30pm – the son of a drummer, Robert Castelli’s interest in music and drumming at a very early age and has played all over the world.

A recent review said “an eclectic mix of very well written self penned numbers which range from a hint of Reggae through Funk Jazz, Spanish Guitar to some excellent Free style Jazz.”

Tickets are £10.

Sunday brings the first of the live screenings from Glyndebourne – La Travitata by Giuseppe Verdi, the live screening starts at 5.30pm and tickets are £15.

On August 14 and 15 we welcome back Baroque Theatre Company who present The Haunting of Hill House adapted from the novel by Shirley Jackson – this is a chilling and mystifying study in mounting terror in which a small group of psychically receptive people are brought together in Hill House.

Sinister and foreboding, Hill House has remained empty and silent until the arrival of Dr. Montague; an investigator of the supernatural phenomena, the new owner of the house; Lucy Sanderson, a psychic; Theodora and the mysterious Eleanor Vance.

Together they delve into the morbid history of the house and to come to grips with the forces that have made it uninhabitable.

Their visit begins with jovial informality, but their sensibilities are soon jolted by strange and eerie occurrences.

This classic book has twice been made into feature film; latterly named “The Haunting” starring Liam Neeson and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Ticket prices £12 (full) £10 (concessions) £9 (groups 10)

Later in the month Bungay Theatre Group will present The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of Macbeth.

This follows on from the popular production of Christmas Carol staged earlier in the year.

This is a fund-raiser for the Fisher.

As usual all tickets can be booked in person at the theatre box office (10am -4pm) by phone 01986 897130 or online at www.fishertheatre.org
