The River Waveney Trust is welcoming a passionate advocate for waterways to speak at a pub on the banks of the Norfolk and Suffolk border stretch of the Broads.
Amy-Jane Beer promotes access to rivers and is a biologist, writer, publishing consultant, author of over 20 books, and feature writer for the Guardian, BBC Wildlife Magazine, BBC Countryfile and the Yorkshire Post.
Her talk will explore her most recent book, ’The Flow: Rivers, Water & Wildness’, which draws on her deep knowledge of rivers, ecology and landscapes.
It is said to be a profound, immersive exploration of our personal and ecological place in nature.
The talk will be held at the Locks Inn, Geldeston, on Wednesday, March 29 - a fitting venue which can be reached by boat.
The bar will be open, and organisers have asked for guests to arrive early to buy drinks for a prompt 7.30pm start.
