An ardent Pokemon fan has organised a day devoted to fellow lovers of the game to attend in Beccles.

Reece Tackley, who in September launched a club at Beccles Town Library which grew "week on week", has the event planned for Wednesday, August 23.

Mr Tackley will be taking over Beccles Public Hall to deliver fans young and old an afternoon filled with Pokémon fun.

From 12pm to 5pm there will be various stallholders selling Pokémon-themed items, from trading cards to unique handmade products designed by fans.

He said: "I am very excited to be partnering with Beccles Public Hall to bring Pokémon to the people of Beccles.

"While organising Pokémon Mondays in Beccles for just under a year, I have wished to create an event which gives the local Pokémon community an event designed for our love of the franchise.

"A local event where fans can buy a range of Pokémon merchandise and meet fellow enthusiasts alike.

"Thanks to the Public Hall this has been made possible.”

Mr Tackley has ensured there will be designated spaces for people to sit down and play a few games of the Pokémon trading card game or for those who are new, to learn how to play the game.

There will also be space for people to sit down and trade their cards with other fans and
collectors alike.

Manager of Beccles Public Hall, Richard Melchior, said: “We’re really excited to
have Beccles Pokémon coming to our venue.

"Pokémon is such a popular pastime for people.

"We’re also keen to have the event become something that Pokémon collectors
really look forward to each year.

"It will be great fun.”

office and website.
