A thriving tearoom in a historic Georgian hall in a Norfolk village has vowed to "keep prices low" amid soaring prices in the cost of living crisis.

Earsham Hall Tearooms was relaunched back in March 2015 by Jason Collins and the business owner "cannot believe" the journey they have had.

He said: "Eight years on we have stuck to our unique selling point of not having a freezer or microwave.

"Everything we sell here is fresh, scones made first thing in the morning.

"I am so proud, we have an amazing team and wonderful loyal customers.

"After all which has been thrown at us, I cannot believe where we are."

Mr Collins says he is doing what he can to keep prices the same to encourage customers through the doors during the cost of living crisis.

"In business, you never know what is over the horizon, so during the cost of living crisis I just want to keep prices low.

"I believe this will benefit us, and encourage people here.

"It remains £2.20 for an Americano and will do.

"We appreciate people will have had to travel here and we want to see as many people through the doors as possible."

While many businesses closed and went on furlough when the pandemic struck, Mr Collins looked for ways to keep the business running and help the community.

Mr Collins said: "The hardship of the pandemic brought us together, figuratively not literally due to social distancing rules, but we all stuck at it like a hard-working busy little family.

"We had to adapt during the pandemic, we ran a meal delivery service which boomed, it was non-stop.

"We actually had to take on more staff during lockdown to get through the demand and friends assisted with deliveries.

"We offered a drive-thru meal collection service, optimised the great space we have here at the grounds and placed tables everywhere outside when we could."
